Edukasi Media Tanam Tanaman Hias dan Terrarium Bagi Majelis Taklim Nurhidayah di Kelurahan Pai Kecamatan Biringkanaya Kota Makassar

Planting media is an important factor that affects the beauty of ornamental plants. The beauty of ornamental plants can also be obtained by planting terrarium models. The purpose of Community Service is to improve the knowledge and skills of partners in selecting types of ornamental plant planting media and making terrariums. The solution offered is to educate partners regarding the types of ornamental plant planting media and making terrariums. The implementation method is counseling in the form of lectures / discussions, training / demonstrations, mentoring and evaluation. The targets to be achieved: partners understand the various types of planting media and their functions for the growth of ornamental plants, the composition of planting media that is suitable for ornamental plants, and partners are skilled in making terrariums. This community service activity succeeded in increasing the understanding of partner members in Pai Village regarding ornamental plant planting media, from 88.3% of members who did not understand to 79.2% who understood well, and increasing terrarium making skills from 95.4% of members who were very unskilled to 86.1% of members who succeeded in making terrariums with a good category. This activity received appreciation from partners which was shown by high enthusiasm in participating in the entire series of activities. All partner members give their full support and are willing to be directly involved if the service program is implemented again in their location.Referensi
