Abstract

Background: Oral health is an integral part of overall health. However, young children often face dental problems such as caries that require special attention. Objective: This article aims to report the implementation of tooth extraction and dental health education activities for young children in an elementary school. Method: The activities were carried out through stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation involving a team of professional dentists. Results: A total of 30 children received tooth extraction according to medical indications, and all participants participated in the education with enthusiasm. Children's understanding of the importance of maintaining dental health increased based on the results of the pre-test and post-test. Conclusion: This program is effective in increasing children's awareness of the importance of maintaining dental health and providing solutions to dental problems they experience. Suggestion: Similar activities need to be carried out continuously to maximize long-term impacts.
