Pemberdayaan Kelompok Tani Desa Leang-Leang Kecamatan Bantimurung Kabupaten Maros Melalui Pembuatan Susu Kedelai

Abstract


Farmer groups in Leang-Leang Village, Bantimurung District, Maros Regency, face challenges in developing soybean-based businesses. Key issues include low income from selling raw soybeans, a lack of skills in processing soybeans into value-added products, and a limited understanding of small business management. As a solution, a community service program was implemented, including counseling and training in soy milk production, running from July to November 2024. The program involved two lecturers and one student mentor, and was attended by 24 participants, mostly housewives from local women's groups. The counseling provided information on the benefits of soybeans and processing techniques, while the training focused on practical soy milk production. This activity aimed to improve participants' skills in soybean processing and open up opportunities for product diversification. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and skills. Previously, participants had only sold raw soybeans without understanding how to process them. After the training, they were able to independently produce soy milk, opening new business opportunities, and increasing family income. The program also motivated participants to optimize local agricultural products, thus positively impacting the economic empowerment and sustainable well-being of the Leang-Leang Village community.
