Abstract

This community service activity (CSA) aims to teach the community how to utilize resources in the form of plants in Pucak Village in making health drinks as immunomodulators (increasing body resistance) which are not only good for maintaining health and preventing several diseases for the people of Pucak Village but can also make products that have economic value and can be marketed. In addition, Pucak Village, which is located in Tompobulu District, Maros Regency, has now developed into a tourist village so that it can attract more tourists to visit Pucak Village. Pucak Village has many types of plants that can be used as ingredients for health drinks such as lemongrass, ginger, turmeric and lime. The results of the study showed that lemongrass, ginger, turmeric and lime have secondary metabolite compounds that can be efficacious in curing several digestive problems. However, the people of Pucak Village do not yet know the use and concoction of these plants as health drinks. Therefore, we will hold counseling and training to make health drink products and teach the community how to package products that are good, hygienic and marketable so that they have high economic value. This CSA is carried out in several stages, namely the preparation stage including surveys and socialization of activities at the location, the implementation stage in the form of counseling, training in making health drinks, teaching good packaging methods, and socialization of halal product certification, as well as the evaluation stage.
