Pelatihan Bantuan Hidup Dasar Bagi Siswa SMA 4 Makassar

Abstract


Basic life-saving measures are the first steps taken to save individuals when facing life-threatening health conditions. Training in basic life support (BHD) is one of the actions that need to be implemented immediately after finding a victim who needs help, such as a patient experiencing a heart attack or choking. The main objective of this program is to ensure that students, especially at the senior high school (SMA) level in the Tabaringan Village area as well as at the Tabaringan Community Health Center, are able to detect cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest situations that occur in the school environment and surrounding communities, and provide basic life support actions appropriately and quickly. The method of implementing this program includes providing teaching materials, simulation through role playing, observation, and evaluation. This activity involved 40 students and was carried out sequentially for one day. With the introduction of this community service initiative, it is expected that the life expectancy of individuals who experience respiratory or cardiac arrest outside the hospital will increase, in line with the improved ability of students and communities to provide basic life support.
