Pelatihan Pengolahan Kedelai Menjadi Tahu Bagi Kelompok Wanita Tani Desa Leang-Leang Kecamatan Bantimurung Kabupaten Maros

Abstract


The Leang-Leang Farmer Women Group is our partner in this service and is located in Leang Leang Village, Bantimurung District, Maros Regency, where the people generally cultivate rice and soybeans. The problems faced by partners are the lack of knowledge, innovation, and creativity, in providing added value to soybeans to increase household income. The purpose of the service is to empower farmer women through training in processing soybeans into tofu, increasing the added value of products and the community's economy. The solution offered is education to partners on the need to get a deeper understanding of the potential of soybeans as the main raw material in tofu production, partners need to get an understanding of business development strategies that can improve the level of their household economy and technical training and innovation of soybean processing products into tofu. The implementation methods are counseling (lectures and discussions), training, and evaluation. This service activity succeeded in providing benefits for the farmer women group because the evaluation results showed that generally participants were satisfied with participating in the training (86% strongly agreed), the training increased knowledge in processing soybeans into tofu (73% strongly agreed), the training improved the skills of processing soybeans into tofu (65% strongly agreed) and the involvement of participants in the training (73% strongly agreed). This service activity received a good response from partners who were shown with high enthusiasm in participating in all activities ranging from socialization, counseling and training. They hope that activities like this can take place in a sustainable manner.
